When backpacks were invented?
Backpacks have come a long way since first being invented in 1938 by Gerry Outdoors. Gerry was the first to include a zipper closure and at the time backpacks were primarily used for hiking, camping, and recreational use.
In keeping with the spirit of outdoor adventure, our backpacks are crafted from natural cork leather, a vegan material sourced from the bark of the cork oak tree. To view the other backpacks in our range, also made using cork material, please click here.
This particular backpack comes in a choice of 10 different designs, each with a zipper pocket and two inside pockets. The backpacks feature traditional Portuguese Mosaic and Floral patterns and have adjustable straps.
